House meeting stalled till March 19

The House of Representatives, which had met on Tuesday and ended shortly, will resume next on March 19 at 1:00 pm.

Today's meeting ended after passing a condolence motion on the demise of former Constituent Assembly member Dinesh Chandra Yadav. Yadav, who represented the CPN-UML from Banke district, was a member of the second CA.

Likewise, Speaker of the Lower House Agni Prasad Sapkota informed the House of its decision to nominate lawmakers Dila Sagraula Panta, Rekha Sharma, Renu Kumari yadav, Lal Babu Pandit, Radha Kumari Gyawali, Man Bahadur Bishwakarma and Som Prasad Pandey to run its proceedings in absence of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker.

The Tuesday meeting had begun at 1:00 pm and ended shortly within ten minutes of its resumption.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and members of his cabinet could not attend the house proceedings due to a party-meeting at PM's official residence in Baluwatar.
