150 new Covid-19 cases take nationwide tally to 276,056 on Monday

KATHMANDU, MARCH 22

Nepal on Monday reported 150 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 276,056.

In the last 24 hours, 51 cases surfaced in Kathmandu district, Lalitpur reported 22 cases, while eleven new cases was reported from Bhaktapur.

Likewise, 99 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 272,020 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.5 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 1017.

The nationwide death-toll stands at 3,019 with three Covid-related fatalities reported today.

According to the health ministry, 4,472 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,240,998 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 51 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Sunday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 275,906 with 77 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 123 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.7 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.

Likewise, over 99 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
