Deuba praises late Prasai's contribution

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba today said that CK Prasai and Giriraj Kumari Prasai's initiatives for political and societal changes were exemplary.

Speaking at a condolence ceremony to commemorate the towering democracy fighter late Giriraj Kumari Prasai in Jhapa, the NC president stressed the need to adopt socialism envisioned by Prasai and to take the path shown by her. 'The Prasai family is a source of inspiration for the Nepali Congress. Her family's contribution to the NC and the country's democratic fight is praiseworthy,' Deuba added.

At the programme, former Nepali Congress general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula complimented the Prasai family's contribution to the party and country's democracy.

'Late Prasai was an honest politician and great social crusader,' Situala added.

Many leaders, including NC's spokesperson Biswo Prakash Sharma, NC central leaders Minendra Rijal, and Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, among others, were present at the programme.
