Nepal COVID-19 Update: 303 new cases, 141 recoveries and one fatality recorded on Sunday

The Ministry of Health and Population has proposed restriction on gatherings of over 25 people.

KATHMANDU, APRIL 11

Nepal's Health Ministry shared the latest updates on coronavirus contagion from across the country.

Till date, 2,312,901 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method have been carried out wherein 3,125 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

At present, there are 83 people under quarantine in various facilities across the country. The number of active cases in Nepal is 2,961.

303 new cases of the coronavirus infection were registered today taking the national tally to 280,028.

As many as 141 persons earlier diagnosed with the disease have tested negative in the last 24 hours. With the recent addition, the national COVID-19 recovery tally has now reached 274,027.

Meanwhile, one fatality was confirmed by the Ministry today, with which the country's COVID-19 death toll has reached to 3,040.

As of today, the country has witnessed 280,028 cases of the coronavirus infection while 274,027 people have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 3,040 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
