592 fined for not wearing face masks

BIRGUNJ, APRIL 20

Parsa District Administration Office has started taking action against people venturing outside without wearing face masks.

As many as 592 people faced the music for walking on the streets without wearing face masks in Birgunj yesterday and today. According to police, they were fined Rs 100 for flouting health safety measures.

A police team led by Inspector Dipendra Shrestha of District Police Office, Parsa, had taken action against people walking without face masks at Ghantaghar, Birgunj..

Parsa District Police Office said it had directed all police units to take action against people, who did not wear face masks.

Those detained for not wearing masks were charged Rs 100 and freed on the condition that they would not venture out of their homes without face masks the next time, said DSP Om Prakash Khanal.
