Central Bank requests exchange of Qatari Riyal banknotes by May 10
Fourth Edition of the banknotes to become illegal after July 1

Nepal Rastra Bank has requested everyone who is carrying Qatari Riyal banknotes of fourth edition to exchange it as per the Qatar Central Bank's notice to withdraw the banknotes.
In the notice issued on April 20, it shared that people can convert their currencies from Banking Department and Provincial Offices of NRB, licensed banks and financial institution and licensed money changers.
Qatar Central Bank on February 24 issued a press release on withdrawing banknotes from circulation.
It stated that the last day for circulation of the banknotes of the fourth edition is July 1 after which the banknotes of the fourth edition will become illegal and indemnified currency.
NRB has allowed the exchange to take place till May 10.
