KATHMANDU, APRIL 25

Keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India, a meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) on Sunday recommended the government to enforce closure of all border entry points with India.

The CCMC made the decision following significant rise in the number of Covid-19 cases and death rate in Nepal in recent days.

Majority of cases have been reported from the districts that share border with India as migrant workers return home from the COVID-19 seized cities in India. Kathmandu remains the district with the highest number of active infections as well as daily reported cases.

Likewise, the Centre also urged the colleges and universities to halt the scheduled exams effective from Monday across the country.
