Former PM Baburam Bhattarai to undergo neuroendocrine surgery

Former Prime Minister and Chair of the Federal Council of Janata Samajwadi Party Baburam Bhattarai is scheduled to undergo a neuroendocrine tumor surgery.
His surgery will be conducted at the Bir Hospital in the capital on April 30, Friday. Bhattarai will get admitted to the hospital today in preparation for the medical procedure.
Dr Subodh Adhikari will lead the medical team that will perform the former PM's surgery, Press Advisor to Chair Bhattarai Bishwadeep Pandey informed.
Bhattarai had visited the Indian capital of New Delhi on February 1 seeking consultation for his ailment, which upon several diagnostic procedures was revealed was a non-cancerous neuroendocrine tumor. He was adviced to undergo a surgery at the earliest possible to remove the tumor.
