KATHMANDU, MAY 11
The District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur have extended the ongoing prohibitory order by another two weeks, on Tuesday.
The prohibitory order has been extended till May 27.
A meeting held between the three Chief District Officers today decided to broaden the areas of prohibition. The meeting has decided to halt all construction works except the National Pride Projects.
Weddings in party palaces have been banned and if they are organised in private residences, no more than 10 people will be allowed to participate.
The meeting also decided to close down all government and other offices except those providing emergency services.
With the rapidly increasing cases of coronavirus infection across the nation, especially in the capital city, the three DAOs had decided to impose a prohibitory order starting April 29 till May 5, which was later extended till May 12.
