Tanahun's Bhanu Municipality brings coronavirus hospital into operation

DAMAULI, MAY 16

Bhanu Municipality, Tanahun, has brought a COVID Hospital into operation.

The municipality has turned Purandihi Municipal Hospital into a COVID Hospital.

'In the wake of rising cases of COVID-19, the municipality has brought a COV- ID Hospital into operation', said municipality's health department Chief Aisharwa Chandra Bhattarai. The hospital has 17 beds for treatment of patients.

Mayor Udayaraj Gauli said that the hospital was brought into operation for treating patients. The municipality has repaired an ambulance to ferry patients to and from the hospital. The vehicle has been kept on standby.

Tanahun CDO Sagar Adhikari said the municipality had operated the COVID Hospital with 17 beds. 'We are planning to add eight more beds very soon,' said Deputy Mayor Asha Thapa.

A team of 11 health workers, including a doctor, a staff nurse and an ANM, will be providing health service round-the-clock at the hospital.
