Early signs of gradual decline in second wave of COVID-19 in Rautahat

Gradual decline has been noted in number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Rautahat.

RAUTAHAT, MAY 25

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is slowly loosening its grip in the district as fresh cases and subsequent fatalities of the infection is on a decline since the past week.

In the last 24 hours, among the 203 samples that underwent PCR test, only 25 came out positive while one tested positive through RDT testing, informed the District Administration Office.

Similarly, during the same period two COVID-19 patients succumbed to the highly contagious respiratory infection at the COVID-19 Hospital in district headquarter Gaur with which at least 80 persons have lost their lives resultant to the infection as of today, according to Chief District Official (CDO) Indradev Yadav.

In Rautahat, till today 1,006 people have been detected with the contagion among which 203 persons have recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, there are 759 active cases of the infection in the district.
