KATHMANDU, MAY 25

As COVID-19 cases escalate in the country, Gundri.com, a booking agency of the country, has started distributing daily essentials, medical equipment, and consumables to social organisations that are in need of such supplies.

Organisations operating independently without external donations and earning by selling their own products or services are our priority, said Binod Adhikari, CEO and founder of Gundri booking. The programme is being conducted by following all the necessary health protocols and safety measures.

According to the Gundri team, necessary supplies have already been delivered to multiple organisations, and the discovery of other such organisations and delivery of necessary supplies continues with utmost priority. Gundri has been actively providing support to organisations such as Disabled Service Centre operating through sale of their own handicraft and housing 22 differently-abled persons.

Other organisations benefiting from Gundri are Safalta HIV Sikshya Sadan - one of a kind in the world, which has been recognised for its efforts in the field of education and health care of HIV affected children; Sneha Ashram established with the motto of home for the homeless, which has been supporting children affected by earthquake; and United Creative Society Nepal, which is taking care of children of conflict victims and earthquake.

With the campaign 'Forever Nepal', Gundri is all set to start its service in travel and tourism industry. We are working on promoting the country to increase global tourism, and strengthening Nepal to raising its economy, he said.

'Promoting the country during good times was our focus. But it is also our responsibility to help as much as we can when it's in need. I would also like to thank all the frontline workers who are giving in this time of need and I believe all of our efforts will help us overcome this situation' Adhikari added.

This campaign was recently initiated to provide necessary assistance to social welfare organisations that needed such support.
