COVID infection rate falling in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, MAY 25
Infection rate in the second wave of coronavirus has decreased in the last two weeks in Rautahat.
The infection rate has decreased due to the prohibitory order imposed by the district administration office.
The mortality rate has, however, remained the same even though new cases have decreased in the district.
Twenty-six persons out of 203, whose swab samples were taken, tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. One person tested positive for antigens.
Two persons lost their lives to coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Rautahat today.
They died while receiving treatment in Gaur Hospital.
With this, 80 persons have died due to the respiratory contagion in the district.
Chief District Officer Indra Dev Yadav said as many as 1,006 persons had tested positive for the virus till date.
Of them, 203 have recovered.
There are 757 active cases in Rautahat till date. Of them, 724 are in home isolation, 30 are receiving general treatment and four others are receiving treatment in other districts.
CDO Yadav said that as many as 18 of the infected are being treated in Gaur Hospital, one in Gaur Nursing Home, seven in Sahid Park, Chandrapur, one in Chandiya Health Post and one in the Primary Health Centre at Gangapipara.
