Prohibitory order prolonged by 10 more days in Kathmandu valley

The ongoing COVID-19 prohibitory order in Kathmandu valley has been prolonged by ten days in wake of steady rise in number of freshly reported cases of infection as of late.
A meeting of the Chief District Officials (CDOs) of three districts of the valley decided to give continuity to the ongoing lockdown in the same modality.
The last lockdown imposed in Kathmandu valley under implementation from July 15 was set to expire today mid-night.
On Sunday, the capital recorded as many as 468 infections today while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur recorded 89 and 67 respectively.
In spite of the in place prohibitory orders, prescribed health protocols are being flouted as slouchy monitoring of the decreed orders from authorities' along with casual response of the valley denizens to the pandemic is being witnessed in recent times.
