CCMC directive committee to meet for the first time since PM Deuba's appointment, today

A meeting of the Directive Committee of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) has been scheduled for today afternoon.
The meeting is scheduled to commence at around 4:00 pm today at Singha Durbar at a time when the infection rate throughout the country is rising steadily, following weeks of decline, while prohibitory orders, albeit very ineffective, is still in place in Kathmandu Valley and some part of the country.
This is the first time CCMC is meeting following the appointment of Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister of the country.
The previous CCMC was reformed following the issuance of 'The Covid-19 Risk Management Ordinance, 207 BS' by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari.
The reformed CCMC act under the supervision of the directive committee will be chaired by the PM.
Former Lieutenant-General of Nepali Army Balananda Sharma had been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of CCMC by the KP Oli government.
