Lumbini Cabinet reshuffled

Ministerial portfolios have been changed in the Council of Ministers of Lumbini Province for the second time.

LUMBINI, SEPTEMBER 3

Ministerial portfolios have been changed in the Council of Ministers of Lumbini Province for the second time. As per the recommendation of Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC, Province Chief Amik Sherchan today made changes in the work division and responsibilities of some ministers in the incumbent Cabinet.

In consistence with the Article 168 (9) of the Constitution, Province Chief Sherchan made changes in the Cabinet formed earlier on August 12, stated a press release issued by Information Officer of Province Chief's Office Sagar Gautam today.

Minister of Economic Affairs Krishna Dhwoj Khadka has been entrusted with additional responsibility of the Ministry of Cooperatives.

The government, on September 8, had decided to increase the number of ministries to 13 in the province.

Additionally, the government also decided to merge the Cooperative Ministry with Ministry Of Economic Affairs.

Ajaya Bahadur Shahi, who was minister without portfolio earlier, has been provided with the portfolio of Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, added the press release.

Likewise, Minister of Urban Development Dilli Bahadur Chaudhari has been given additional responsibility of the Ministry of Tourism, Rural and Urban Development.
