KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 8
The Seventh Constitution Day is to be observed as the National Day from September 18 to 20 in the country and abroad.
On the occasion, illumination will be organised in the country and Nepali Embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.
Constitution Day main ceremony committee has already been formed under the chairmanship of the prime minister to commemorate the National Day.
A meeting of the Publicity Sub-committee under the programme main committee held today urged the government, community and private media to publicise the day.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and coordinator of the subcommittee Baikuntha Aryal decided to ask the media to broadcast information, requesting people to hoist the national flag at their houses with high respect on the occasion of Constitution Day.
Arrangements will be made to send messages related to the day through Nepal Telecom, broadcast them on display boards and organise special talks and panel discussions, and disseminate awareness programmes through national level media.
It has been decided to broadcast or transmit various write-ups, news, feature news, interviews and new programmes spreading the message on the significance of the constitution through government-owned media houses such as Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Nepal Television, Radio Nepal and Gorkhapatra Corporation.
