904 new Covid-19 cases surface on Tuesday, active caseload stands at 18,422

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 793,271 on Tuesday with 904 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 763,734 with 1,318 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,115 with 12 more fatalities.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 18,422 against 18,848 a day before.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 14,003 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 11,672 were PCR tests while 2,331 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,186,175 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 254 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,158.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.3 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
Currently, there are 328 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 270 cases in the country while other two district of the capital Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have 69 and 44 cases respectively.
So far, a total of 13,166,598 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 6,960,828 have received the first dose while only 6,205,770 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 233 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.7 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 209 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
