Berger calls it a day PRAGUE: Sparta Prague's former Czech international midfielder Patrik Berger, 36, has announced that he is retiring because of recurrent injuries, his team coach said on Wednesday. Berger started his career as a Sparta Prague trainee before joining city rival's Slavia Prague aged 18 years. He then moved to Borussia Dortmund in Germany followed by seven years at Liverpool, then Portsmouth, Stoke City and Aston Villa. He rejoined Sparta in 2008 but rarely featured because of health problems, playing his final match on August 8 last year. Clark signs for Kent LONDON: Australia seamer Stuart Clark will play for Kent for the first half of the 2010 English season, the county announced on Wednesday. Clark had been poised to be Kent's overseas player for 2009 but that was blocked after he won a recall to the Australia side and Kent's chairman of cricket, Graham Johnson, was delighted to see the move resurrected. Clark played in the final two Tests of the 2009 Ashes series and was a key figure in the Australia side that secured an Ashes whitewash in the 2006-07 series. Harassment charges NEW DELHI: A top Indian football club was embroiled in an embarrassing controversy on Wednesday after two of their Nigerian players were accused of molesting a female flight attendant. The players, along with the rest of the Churchill Brothers squad, were on their way to Kolkata from Goa when the alleged incident took place. The police arrested strikers Odafa Onyeka Okolie and Felix Chimaokwu as well as team manager Mario Soares on charges of molestation, the Hindustan Times said.
