PM Deuba received by British PM Johnson at COP26 summit

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson greeted Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the opening ceremony of World Leaders' Summit (WLS) for the United Nations' COP26 summit on climate change in Glasgow, today
PM Deuba spoke about Nepal's ambition to achieve net zero by 2045 and called for urgent action to protect mountain communities from a warming planet at the 26th Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
'I urge the world leaders to recognise the specific climate vulnerability in the high mountains and accord high priority to the mountain agenda in all climate-related negotiations', said PM Deuba while addressing the WLS.
The COP26 is taking place in Glasgow of the United Kingdom from October 31-November 12.
UK PM Johnson has invited Heads of State and Government to participate in a World Leaders Summit.
Prime Minister Deuba is also scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with Heads of State and Government of various countries as well as other senior dignitaries.
The PM will arrive in Kathmandu on November 04.
