Nepal records 433 fresh COVID-19 cases, one fatality on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 09

Nepal recorded 433 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 815,372 while the death toll climbed to 11,454 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 796,306 with 484 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 16,736 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 14,918 were PCR tests while 1,818 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,469,138 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 90 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 533.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,612.

Currently, there are 110 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Monday, Nepal had recorded 371 cases of the coronavirus infection while five more succumbed to the disease in the same period.
