Italian Alpinist ascends Mt Ama Dablam on Thursday
The team summited the mountain in just 5 and half hours, which is thought to be the fastest till date

Italian Alpinist François Cazzanelli has made a successful ascent of Mt Ama Dablam (6812 m) in just 5 hours 32 minutes and 8 seconds, on Thursday.
According to Chhang Dawa Sherpa, expedition director at Seven Summit Treks, the Alpinist stood atop the scenic mountain in Khumbu region, as a part of the SST expedition, yesterday.
It might be the fastest ascent of Mt Ama Dablam in the climbing season, Sherpa said, adding that he completed his climbing from the base camp to the summit point in within 5 hours 32 minutes and 8 seconds.
Francisco and his team had also climbed Tengkhang Poche (6,500m) a few days ago, via the Ridge of Kwangde Ri, he added.
Eight additional successful attempts of Ama Dablam were also made on November 9 by the team which included Jackson D Groves, Pema Khando, Jatin Ramsinh Chaudhary, Tenjin Sherpa (Lama), Tashi Sherpa, Mingma Ongdi Sherpa, Mingma Sherpa and Furtengi Sherpa.
