Nepal records 355 fresh COVID-19 cases, three fatalities on Friday

FILE-Nepal recorded 355 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 816,415 while the death toll climbed to 11,469 with three fatalities on Friday.

Nepal recorded 355 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 816,415 while the death toll climbed to 11,469 with three fatalities today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 797,448 with 389 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 11,066 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,134 were PCR tests while 1,932 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,493,288 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 47 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 397.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,498.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
