Nepal records 367 fresh COVID-19 cases, four fatalities on Monday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22

Nepal recorded 367 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 819,386 while the death toll climbed to 11,500 with one fatality today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 800,617 with 258 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,697 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,921 were PCR tests while 2,776 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,568,237 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 18 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 385.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,269.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Sunday, Nepal had witnessed 232 cases of the coronavirus infection while one person succumbed to the disease in the same period.
