Nepal records 313 fresh COVID-19 cases, nine fatalities on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 23
Nepal recorded 313 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 819,699 while the death toll climbed to 11,509 with nine fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 800,890 with 273 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,174 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,729 were PCR tests while 1,445 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,576,966 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 38 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 351.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,300.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Monday, Nepal had witnessed 367 cases of the coronavirus infection while four persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
