Nepal records 242 fresh COVID-19 cases, two fatalities on Friday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 26
Nepal recorded 242 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 820,527 while the death toll climbed to 11,518 with two fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 801,722 with 302 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,446 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,829 were PCR tests while 2,617 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,599,489 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 28 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 270.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 7,287.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Thursday, Nepal had witnessed 281 cases of the coronavirus infection while three persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
