Nepal records 154 fresh COVID-19 cases, two fatalities on Sunday

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 28

Nepal recorded 154 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 820,878 while the death toll climbed to 11,523 with two fatalities today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 802,389 with 342 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 8,918 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 6,604 were PCR tests while 2,314 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,611,000 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 4 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 158.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,966.

Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Saturday, Nepal had witnessed 197 cases of the coronavirus infection while three persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
