KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 30

Chief Minister of Karnali province, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi is taking vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly, today.

Shahi who was appointed as the Chief Minister on November 2 is required by the Constitution to receive the vote of confidence from the assembly within 30 days since the formation of the government.

The PA meeting has been called for 1:00 pm today and the process to take vote of confidence will initiate then after.

Should the CM fail to garner adequate votes, the governor will call for the formation of a new government pursuant to article 168 (2) of the constitution.
