Nepal records 285 fresh COVID-19 cases, three fatalities on Wednesday

Nepal recorded 285 new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours, pushing the nationwide tally to 821,651 while the death toll climbed to 11,529 with three fatalities today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 803,168 with 259 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,727 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 10,919 were PCR tests while 1,808 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,633,479 PCR tests have been carried out till date.Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 31 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 316.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 97.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 6,954.
Currently, there are 98 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Tuesday, Nepal had witnessed 245 cases of the coronavirus infection while two persons succumbed to the disease in the same period.
