The Nepalbhasa Academy today organised a spring festival at its newly-built auditorium to mark the Basanta Panchami.
Artistes from different parts of the valley performed during the function while people
sang folk songs with traditional and classical instruments.
Chancellor of the Nepalbhasa Academy Satya Mohan Joshi released a religious song book.
Addressing the programme, member secretary of the Nepalbhasa Academy Indra Mali said the auditorium was the result of the untiring efforts of social workers, former mayor of Kirtipur and others who helped the academy by providing money, labour and inspiration.
Malla K Sunder, member of the academy, said the auditorium had become a pride to all and it would help the academic personalities and talented persons for research and rehearsal.
