Five short-listed candidates called for interview to fill vacant NEPSE-CEO post

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 07

Five candidates have been short-listed to fill in the vacant post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

Among the eleven applicants who had laid claim for the vacancy, five have been short-listed and called for an interview in regards to the same. The interviews will be conducted on Sunday.

Krishna Bahadur Karki, Dr Keshav Prasad Shrestha, Prabin Pandak, Ramesh Ghimire and Dr Ramesh Bhandari are the candidates that will undergo the selection procedure.

Former, CEO of NEPSE Chandra Singh Saud had resigned following accusations of buying shares of a company illegally.

Saud was found to have bought 10,000 units of shares of Sarbottam Cement in the name of his wife, as the company was preparing to issue IPO for subscription by the general public.

The Ministry of Finance has assured that the long vacant post will soon be occupied.
