Close to 7000 single-day infections logged in Kathmandu valley
Valley's active caseload crosses 37,000

Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur jointly reported 6981 cases of coronovirus infection, making it the highest recorded single-day cases in the valley since the onset of the pandemic.
As many as 5001 cases had surfaced in the capital alone in past 24-hours. Likewise, Lalitpur reported 1130 infections while the number of the same was 850 in Bhaktapur.
Kathmandu continues to be the district with the highest number of active cases of Covid-19 as its caseload currently stands at 37,093.
The valley constituted over 50 per cent of total cases logged throughout the country today which amounted to 12,338 (10,052 via PCR, 2286 via RDT).

The nationwide total Covid-19 tally stands at 887,769 while 11,632 people have lost their lives to the pandemic, thus far.
