PHIDIM: Normal life in Panchthar, Taplejung and Ilam districts was adversely affected on Saturday as well due to the bandh enforced by the Unified CPN-Maoist. The Maoists have been forcing a Taplejung bandh since December 27, demanding martyr status for deceased cadres Lagamdhoj Limbu, Laxmi Wanem and Rajendra Wanem, relief to the bereaved families and action against the culprits. The trio was killed by an unidentified gang. No vehicle of long and short routes plied in the three districts. Market places, financial and education institutions also remained shut due to the bandh.
