Rijal receives award

KATHMANDU, MARCH 25

The prestigious Indira Gandhi 'Priyadarshini Lifetime Achievement Award' was recently presented to Pramila Acharya Rijal, president of the South Asian Women Development Forum.

The award was given by Narayan Tatu Rane, minister of MSME, India in recognition of her remarkable entrepreneurial journey through many national and regional organisations that strive to make innovative contributions in Nepal's women's business community in New Delhi, as per a press statement.

The Priyadarshini Award was established in 1995 under the chairmanship of chairman of Small Industries Corporation, MSME Ministry of the government of India, Small Industries Development Bank of India, Department of Women and Child Welfare and the Federation of Indian Women Entrepreneurs. The prestigious award is given to outstanding women achievers in promoting women entrepreneurship in India as well as from SAARC countries.

Rijal has also been conferred with the Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Padak by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari. The Prabal Jana Sewa Shree award is given to personalities from different walks of life who have contributed significantly to the country.
