Nepal records 23 COVID-19 cases on Sunday

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached at 899 on Sunday as 23 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,475 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 965,625 with 66 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 6,909 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 5,847 were PCR tests while 1,062 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,556,836 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed no positive case in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 23.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
