Nepal records 12 COVID-19 cases on Friday

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 669 on Friday as 11 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 978,556 while the death toll remains at 11,951 as no fatalities were recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 965,936 with 89 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 4,349 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,728 were PCR tests while 1,621 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,571,961 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed one positive case in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests totals to 11.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.7%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are 106 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
