The Karnali Provincial Public Service Commission Surkhet has conducted examination for vacant government positions in the province.

This is the first time that such an examination has been held at the province-level after the implementation of the federal structure in the country.

The Karnali PPSC yesterday conducted the examination for the post of women development inspectors under various servicesof the province.

According to Section 3 of the Provincial Public Service Commission Act, 2019, vacancies were announced for the position of eight employees in the open category and one in the inclusive category. A total of 2,197 candidates had appeared for the examinations yesterday, said Secretary of the commission Bhupendra Thapa.

Chairperson of the Commission Ram Prasad Upadhyaya said it was a proud moment for the Commission to be conducting the examination for the first time in the history of federalism in the country.
