The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has said that no domestic commercial flights will be operated beyond 8:00 pm from Friday, citing technical reasons.

Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the association stressed that they are in no position to implement the directives forwarded by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) to operate night flights.

Airline operators including Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, Shree Airlines, Saurya Airlines, Guna Airlines said their attention has been drawn towards CAAN's directives to go ahead with the new SLOT system.

However, underlining the issues with the new SLOT system, the association warned that operation of flights after 8 pm will be halted unless the new system in reviewed by authorities, until further notice.
