Domestic flights were obstructed for one hour this morning at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) here following a hoax that a suspicious object was spotted in the internal terminal building.

TIA office said that domestic flights have resumed as no such object was found at the building after a search operation carried out by a bomb disposal squad. The airport which was stalled following the bomb hoax has been opened a while ago, TIA General Manager Prem Nath Thakur said.

Passengers inside the domestic terminal building were evacuated after the hoax.
