KATHMANDU, MAY 8

The US Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs has published the results for the 2023 Electronic Diversity Visa (EDV), today.

According to the US State Department, those who have applied for the EDV 2023 can check for their results from noon (EDT) on May 7, 2022 with their confirmation information.

The applicants can access the results by logging on to https://dvprogram.state.gov/.

The 2023 EDV application had opened from October 6, 2021 till November 9, 2021.

The department has also asked the applicants to keep their confirmation number until at least September 30, 2023.

Thousands of Nepalis have already reached the US for permanent residency with green cards through the programme.

Every year, the US allows 50,000 people from countries with low rates of immigration to legally enter the country on its Diversity Visa program.
