Voting halted in seven polling centres held peacefully on Sunday

KATHMANDU, MAY 15

Voting in seven different polling stations of five local levels which had been postponed on May 13 has been completed in a peaceful manner on Sunday, the Election Commission (EC) said.

As per the details shared from the Joint Election Operation Centre of the EC, the voting was held on Sunday in a polling centre at Shankar Secondary School in Guthichaur Rural Municipality-3 in Jumla; at Janata Secondary School in Dakneshwori Municipality-2 and two polling centres of Harihari in Saptari.

Likewise, voting was held on Sunday in a polling centre at Ramalmasto Secondary School of Raskot Rural Municipality-4 and a poling centre at Janata Secondary School of Pachal Jharana Rural Municipality-3 in Kalikot district.

Also, the re-election was held in two polling centres in Sunipipal Chaur Secondary School of Jaya Prithvi Municipality-7 in Bajhang district.

The new dates for the polling and re-election is ongoing in different dates in a total of 85 polling stations where the voting was postponed due to disputes among political parties, candidates and other sides.
