Nepal records 11 COVID-19 cases on Friday

KATHMANDU, MAY 20
The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 149 on Friday as 11 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 979,051 while the death toll remains at 11,952 as no fatalities were recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 966,950 with 12 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 2,874 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,300 were PCR tests while 574 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,681,987 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed no positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
