Nepal records 16 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, MAY 24

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 133 on Tuesday as 11 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 979,087 while the death toll remains at 11,952 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 967,002 with 11 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 2,920 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,998 were PCR tests while 922 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,689,733 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed five positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
