LALITPUR, MAY 26

Royal Sports Central won the title of the Fr Watrin Women's Open Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

Royal defeated Xavier International College 42-12 in the final. Pratiskshya Magar netted 11 points for hosts Royal. Along with the title, Royal received Rs 25,000, while Xavier earned Rs 15,00.

Mina Gurung of Royal was named the Most Valuable Player, while ISA Nepal was adjudged the emerging team.

A total of four teams took part in the tournament organised by Godavari Alumni Association. Mahalaxmi Municipality Mayor Hari Govinda Sshrestha and GAA President Prakash Babu KC handed over the prizes to the winners.
