Nepal records 17 COVID-19 cases on Friday

KATHMANDU, JUNE 10

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 109 on Friday as seven people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 979,242 while the death toll remains at 11,952 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 967,181 with 10 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 3,070 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 1,915 were PCR tests while 1,155 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 5,725,215 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 10 positive cases in the past 24 hours.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.8%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
