CNIYEF Nepal StartUp Fest 2022 tomorrow

The Confederation of Nepalese Industries Young Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF) is all set to organise 'CNIYEF Nepal StartUp Fest 2022' here on Saturday.
Co-organised by National Planning Commission, Youth and Small Entrepreneur Self-Employment Fund, Indian Embassy in Nepal, the fest is being held with an aim to establish start-up businesses as one of the major elements of economy by promoting the start-up entrepreneurs.
Speaking at a press meet today, Aayushi KC, coordinator of the fest, informed that the event will create an ecosystem and facilitate start-up entrepreneurship in Nepal by providing the capital, mentorship and by building teams.
'In Nepal there are three major challenges facing start-up businesses - capital, mentorship and proper teams. Through this fest, we are trying to fill that gap and solve these problems,' KC said.
According to Manish Shrestha, also a coordinator of the event, investment up to Rs 500 million will be committed through the fest, which will provided to 10 selected projects.
'Out of 300-plus applications, selected 10 start-up ideas and projects will be pitched at the event,' said Shrestha. 'Team Ventures, Global Equity Fund, Aadhyanta Fund Management, Himalayan Capital and Televenture Partner Pvt Ltd have pledged the capital investment.'
Shrestha added that the one-day festival will see presentation by the keynote speaker and panel discussions by national and international experts on the topic of start-ups.
Likewise he said there will be Robotic Football and Robowar organised by the Robotics Association.
The ticket price for the event has been set at Rs 300 per person.
