Nepal records 814 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.3%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 02

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 5,144 on Tuesday as 814 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 987,737 while the death toll remains at 11,968 as no fatalities were recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 970,625 with 299 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 5,415 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 2,762 were PCR tests while 2,653 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,823,028 PCR tests have been carried out till date. Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 305 positive cases in the past 24 hours.
