Himalaya Airlines operates special diplomatic charter flight to Qingdao, China

Kathmandu, August 10

Himalaya Airlines has operated a diplomatic charter flight to Qingdao, (Tsingtao), China upon request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday.

Releasing a statement on Wednesday, the Airlines shared that it was honored to operate a special diplomatic charter flight for the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka.

The charter flight (Himalaya's Airbus 319, 9N AJK with the flight no. H9 7220) departed from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) at 11:07pm on Tuesday carrying eleven-member delegation of MOFA officials and landed at Qingdao Liuting International Airport (IATA: TAO, ICAO: ZSQD) at 07:55am today.

The delegation are scheduled to return on August 11 after two-day official visit to Qingdao. They will return via flight H9 7221 departing at 3:00pm, which will take one hour 50 minutes to reach the capital.

This special flight was chartered with special permission as there are no direct flight to Qingdao from Kathmandu.
