Nepal records 888 COVID-19 cases on Monday

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 5,387 on Monday as 427 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.
The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 993,459 while the death toll remains at 11,989 as one fatality was recorded today.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 976,083 with 474 discharges logged today.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 5,737 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,155 were PCR tests while 2,582 were antigen tests.
With this, a total of 5,856,628 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 461 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.3%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.
Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
