Nepal records 852 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 17

The national active Covid-19 caseload of Nepal active caseload has reached to 5,462 on Wednesday as 531 people tested positive for the infection in past 24 hours.

The latest reported number of infections carried the nationwide tally to 994,389 while the death toll remains at 11,990 as no fatality was recorded today.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 976,937 with 328 discharges logged today.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 5,462 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 3,876 were PCR tests while 2,507 were antigen tests.

With this, a total of 5,863,226 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests confirmed 321 positive cases in the past 24 hours. Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.2%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2%.

Currently, there are no individuals in any quarantine facilities across Nepal.
